The compliance team ensures compliance
One of our strategic goals is to follow high ethics in all of our work. To ensure this, we have created various procedures, processes and guidelines for tenders and work during the contract period. Ethical operations are the responsibility of every Hansel employee, and the work is supported by a compliance team at Hansel, which coordinates, is responsible for instructions, provides orientation and strives to ensure compliant and ethical operations.
Several compliance-related training sessions were held in 2025. In the spring, we organised extensive diversity and inclusion training, consisting of several lectures and workshops for different personnel groups. The aim of the training was to ensure that everyone in our work community is treated in a non-discriminatory and equal manner.
In the autumn, we organised anti-corruption training related to the Government’s anti-corruption strategy and action plan for 2025–2027. At the event, we heard speeches from the Ministry of Justice and the Association of Finnish Cities and Municipalities. The event addressed corruption as a phenomenon, particularly in public procurement and municipal decision-making, as well as anti-corruption measures. Approximately 120 Hansel employees participated in the event.
In 2025, we prepared an operating environment analysis and updated the risk survey. The processing of risks has continued in the preparation of the double materiality analysis (DMA) aligned with the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), with one of the areas reviewed having been risks and opportunities related to governance (G).
Hansel is also registered in the Transparency Register, and we have reported our lobbying activities to the register.
In 2025, no whistleblowing reports were received via Hansel’s whistleblowing channel.
The compliance function reports annually to Hansel’s Board of Directors.
